My name is Katrina Mallette and I offer therapeutic support to children, teens, adults, and families experiencing a variety of challenges.
I am a registered social worker and social service worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I have a Master's of Social Work with a minor in Psychology.
I believe you know what works best for you; therefore, I provide a client-centered approach with my role being to support and empower you through your journey of personal discovery. My aim is to create a non-judgmental, empathetic, safe, and collaborative space where you feel empowered to heal and grow. I employ an integrative strategy using a variety of modalities to suit your individual needs because one size does not fit all.
I draw from both my professional and personal experience to support individuals and families experiencing struggles with anxiety, depression, challenges related to ADHD and Neurodiversity, emotional regulation, parenting challenges, grief and loss, and oppositional behaviours. Additionally, I have extensive experience supporting individuals who have experienced a variety of traumas including neglect, emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, witnessing domestic violence, bullying, and difficult family experiences.
On a personal note, I am the mother of four wonderfully unique neurodiverse children and stepmother to one inspirational neurotypical child who helps me to grow and become a better person every day. Making change can be difficult and often scary but through commitment and work, comes growth and hope. I would be honoured to accompany you along that journey.
